With the July 2024 SafetyAware App release, if users launch the SafetyAware App while outside of network connectivity, they will be able to login to SafetyAware via the Bivy Stick. Previously, if users inadvertently closed the SafetyAware App, or the battery died on their smartphone, they would not be able to relaunch the App and login to SafetyAware outside of network connectivity. This allows users to continue to use SafetyAware regardless of cellular connectivity.
With the new release, if a user launches SafetyAware outside of network coverage, and has previously connected a Bivy Stick to the SafetyAware App, they will be presented with the following login screen:
Tapping “Connect with Bivy” will log the user in with previously registered credentials, connect to a nearby Bivy Stick over Bluetooth, and sign the user onto SafetyAware via satellite.
