How do I sign in with Single Sign-On (SSO)?
If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you can sign in to Control Center and the SafetyAware app with the same work account you use for email and other business applications – usually your Microsoft account. You don't need a separate SafetyAware password.
*Note: SSO is turned on for your whole organization by your administrator. If you aren't sure whether your organization uses SSO, ask your administrator.
To sign in to Control Center:
- Open Control Center and enter your work email
- You'll be taken to your company's sign-in page
- Sign in as you normally would, including any multi-factor authentication (MFA) steps
- You'll be returned to Control Center and signed in automatically
- Open the SafetyAware app and enter your work email
- The app opens your company's sign-in page
- Sign in as you would on your computer
- The sign-in page closes automatically and the app finishes signing you in
To sign in to the SafetyAware app:
Make sure you have the latest version of the SafetyAware app downloaded
Troubleshooting
|
If you see this |
Try this |
|
You can sign in to Microsoft but not to Control Center or the app |
Your SafetyAware account may not exist yet or may use a different email address. Contact your administrator. |
|
You were signed in with the wrong account |
You may have signed in with a personal Microsoft account. Sign out and try again with your work account, or use a private/incognito browser window. |
|
The app shows a license error after you sign in |
Your device or license assignment is not active. This is not an SSO problem – contact your administrator to renew or reassign your license. |
|
You signed in on the company page, but the app didn't finish signing you in |
Make sure you have the correct SafetyAware app installed, then update or reinstall it. |
|
You signed out but were signed straight back in |
This is expected – you are still signed in to your work account. Sign out of your work account too, or use a private/incognito browser window. |
If these steps don't resolve the issue, please submit a support ticket with your support provider for further assistance.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a SafetyAware password to use SSO?
No. You don't need a SafetyAware password, but your administrator must have already set up your SafetyAware account with your work email address.
Can I still sign in with my old password?
No. When SSO is turned on for your organization, password sign-in is turned off.
Does SSO work the same way on the mobile app?
Yes. The app uses the same company sign-in as Control Center. The app also checks that your device or license is active.
