With SafetyAware 4.2.6, we are improving the Bivy Stick integration experience, which occurs when users are outside of cellular network coverage. When using the SafetyAware App paired with a Bivy Stick, the “Active Device” will always show to be the mobile phone device. In order to determine whether the user is currently communicating over the Bivy Stick, a message will appear in the activity feed and user history, stating “This message is sent through Bivy Stick device.”. If this message appears in the activity feed, an Administrator or Monitor Agent will know that they currently will not be able to communicate with the user over a voice phone call or SMS message. However, they will be able to communicate with an App Notification, as those messages are communicated over either a cellular network or Bivy Stick satellite channel.
