New features include a new search for escalation contacts, a device type indicator, and the ability to organize hazard comments.

We're excited to announce that the latest update of Aware360’s SafetyAware App and Control Center will make it easier to onboard new clients. Plus, Control Center 2.2 is packed with new features that will improve response times and reduce false alarms. These new features include a new search for escalation contacts, a device type indicator, and the ability to organize hazard comments. All these new updates to Control Center will go live on August 7th with SafetyAware App updates to follow.

Search for Escalation Contacts - Control Center (0:00)

In response to feedback from our monitoring partners, we have made adjustments to the Control Center to increase response time and give monitoring agents faster access to information. In the past, the monitor agent will no longer have access to the manager’s contact information in the escalation plan if an escalation has been resolved. In the new update, the monitor will now see the current escalation procedure, the alert types they apply to, and contact information.

Here's how:

  • Open Control Center
  • Click the "Take Action" button on the left-hand side for an asset that is NOT in an alarming state
  • You will now be able to view the current escalation procedure, the alert type, contacts, and contact information

Device Type Indicator (2:52)

To help facilitate communication between our clients and our monitoring partners, we have made it easier for monitor agents to view the device that is currently being used by an asset. Through the use of the Active Device display, agents will see if users are using a device that can receive a message, like a smartphone, or if there will be a message delay, satellite communicator. This new feature streamlines communication and allows operators to make more informed decisions, resulting in a quicker response time.

Here's how:

  • Open Control Center
  • Click the "Take Action" button on the left-hand side for an asset
  • On the left-hand side, "Active Device" will be displayed and will be automatically updated for the asset

Search for Escalation Contacts - SafetyAware App (4:47)

We brought back the universal search function on the SafetyAware smartphone app to quickly help find escalation contacts. As of July 17, 2019, the search box is up-to-date with this new feature.

Here's how:

  • Launch the SafetyAware smartphone app
  • On the top right corner, tap the Gear icon
  • Tap "Preferences," and then "Escalation Contacts."
  • Under "Escalation Path for SOS," you will now have access to the new universal search box to find escalation contacts quickly.

Organize Hazard Comments (5:53)

In a previous update, we have allowed users to store their hazard updates within the SafetyAware app. To reduce the clutter of hazard comments, we have introduced the capability to delete hazard comments. The feature works very similarly to the "Manual Location" also feature within the app.

Here's how:

  • Launch the SafetyAware smartphone app
  • Tap the "Comment" box in the center of the screen
  • To delete hazard comments, swipe left on a given comment and tap Trash icon
